“As an Engineer at MaxGrip Malaysia you are responsible for your specific area of excellence, this could be: reliability, general maintenance, CMMS or working as a specialist. With your technical know-how you are able to find answers to diverse asset, maintenance and reliability problems that drives the operational maintenance costs low and creates high reliability equipment for our customers. You will be working within the Infra/Utilities, Oil/Gas, Food/Beverage, Heavy or in the Chemical industries. You are not only capable of finding technical solutions, you also understand criticality of installations and know when and how they can fail. As your manager, I will judge you on your skills and your results. If this is in line with the expectations, you will be ready for more responsibilities after 2 years. This could be acting as a team lead, coordinate tenders, etc. It’s my job to continuously challenge you during your career at MaxGrip. The goal is that you will be an independent, experienced and confident Maintenance Consultant after 4 years. I will support you to reach this goal!”
Responsibilities:
- Works under general direction from project leads, manager or under general administrative instruction for performing detailed reliability studies and detailed calculations of component/system reliabilities.
- Considers impact of costs on recommended actions plans for avoiding/correcting problems during the design phase of remedial action for correcting reliability problems on installed equipment; and performs root cause failure analysis to help prevent failures.
- Plans and performs engineering research, design development or manufacturing/process engineering assignments including responsibility for major subsections of complex projects using general engineering practices influenced by the general theme of reliability principles.
- Estimates engineering personnel needs, coordinates and supervised the use of other engineers and consultants to accomplish the objective of cost effective reliability improvements for projects.
- Assignments are broad in nature and require appreciable originality and ingenuity for completing the assignments which have considerable latitude for unreviewed action or decisions.
- Follows company safety and health guidelines and other company policies.
- Performs other work as assigned.
- Establish a sound foundation in Maintenance Management Consultancy Services by continuously assisting in and contributing to the development of the Maintenance Management Services.
- Assist the Senior Integrity Engineer to ensure that Integrity Management Systems and documentation are fully developed, understood and implemented within the APU;
- Verify that all equipment strategies are in the system and ensure compliance with our operating licenses, legal framework, and internal engineering standards.
- Provide assurance that equipment is operated and maintained in accordance with design, standards and specifications.
- Ensure any deviations are assessed and controlled.
- Develop the required long term maintenance plans for the assets.
- Liaise with Maintenance Team to ensure execution of inspection and integrity activities in line with the system management schedules.
Job requirements:
- (Ing.) Degree in a technical engineering discipline.
- A minimum of 1 years’ experience with Project Management in Maintenance in the Oil & Gas.
- Experience in Maintenance Management or at least with 5 years in operational maintenance engineering in oil refinery, petrochemical, power plant or associated industry.
- Computer Literate with good capability of MS Office suite of programs including MS Project.
- Previous O&G experience and Turnaround experience considered a plus.
- Demonstrated strong leadership attributes, with ability to lead cross functional teams.
- Proven experience evaluating maintenance plans using data, analysis and international standards.
- Proven experience developing and implementing maintenance plans or operational improvement plans preferred.
- Proven experience facilitating multi-discipline teams for complex incident investigations and problem solving preferred.
- Proficient in software in maintenance engineering.
- Thorough understanding of related codes and standards.
